The Legend of Michael Mishra
The Legend of Michael Mishra is a 2016 Indian Hindi comedy film written and directed by Manish Jha. It is produced by Kishor Arora and Shareen Mantri Kedia of Eyecandy Films. The film stars Arshad Warsi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Boman Irani and Kayoze Irani. Michael Misra (Arshad Warsi) aka Bhaiyyaji is a Bihari tailor-turned-kidnapper who falls in love with Varsa Sukla (Aditi Rao Hydari), a wannabe actress from Patna. He sheds his criminal image for her and becomes a good man but can his transformation bring the two together? While there have been reports of the film facing protests in Punjab owing to religious references, it won't be wrong if it faces issues elsewhere owing to hurting the sensibilities of a 'thinking' moviegoer. For starters, the film is absolutely absurd. You wonder if the actors were given a valid script to begin with. It looks like they wore their own clothes, wrote their own lines and danced the way they wanted to without an expert guiding them whatsoever. It was released on 5 August 2016.
